Social Media Content Creation – Indiana Repertory Theatre
CHALLENGE:
Indiana Repertory Theatre’s productions required a constant buzz leading up to opening night and through their month-long run. With a limited number of approved production photos and repeated “please buy tickets” calls to action, our social media audiences were thirsty for content that was new and even a bit entertaining itself.
SOLUTION:
As Creative Lead, I developed several tongue-in-cheek puns that introduced more in-the-moment cultural references to what was happening on the company’s stage for relevance and a solid hook. I was intentional to maintain the integrity and nature of the production, while also being playful with our social media audiences in ways that supported and helped create the brand voice for the theatre—the IRT is current, bold, and entertaining.
The posts featuring these images were shared over 40 times, organically expanding the reach and engagement beyond the organization’s followers, increasing single ticket sales, and building the theatre’s brand.
