Program Books
—for Indiana Repertory Theatre
CHALLENGE:
When I joined Indiana Repertory Theatre as Marketing Coordinator, program books and other design assets were being created by an external graphic designer. This process was costly and time-consuming—requiring multiple rounds of hand-offs and making it difficult to accommodate the last-minute edits often needed before opening night. The organization needed a more efficient, flexible solution that still upheld high design standards and reflected IRT’s brand.
SOLUTION:
I brought all design work in-house, saving the organization tens of thousands of dollars annually while also streamlining production timelines. I took creative lead on the program books, establishing a distinctive visual language for the season using branded elements like expressive brush strokes and deconstructed bars.
In addition to design, I managed content collection across departments, ensuring alignment between artistic, development, and marketing teams. I also edited and produced centerfold artist interviews, helping to spotlight voices from the stage and behind the scenes. This new approach allowed for a faster, more flexible process that still delivered a visually engaging and mission-aligned final product—on time, every time.
